My involvement with PHS began with serving guests to Hyde Park United Methodist Church’s Open Arms breakfast for anyone who wanted a warm well-prepared breakfast. I have provided guests with assistance in navigating the State of Florida’s Department of Children and Families Food Stamps program. Through my involvement, I came to understand that getting off the street was a challenge, particularly for men. I became involved in PHS to provide a solution for those working men who could not afford stable housing.
